Good news in the Okanagan as “Once again, the quarterly release of economic indicators for the Central Okanagan depict a vibrant region of innovation, growth and enviable lifestyle”.
Summerland is located between Penticton & Kelowna, close enough to both for all the big box shopping you may desire. Home Depot is nearby, and is looking to hire almost 100 people in Kelowna, Vernon and West Kelowna this spring.
Summerland is a small agricultural town with all the amenities of a thriving community, but close to both the Okanagan’s major airports, and with nearby access to the two routes to the Lower Mainland.
Okanagan home buyers have long been known to come from centers such as Calgary, Vancouver & Edmonton.
The trend has shifted considerably over the last 8 months, with a significant increase from Fraser Valley communities. Abbotsford, Cloverdale, Langley, Maple Ridge…you name it, buyers from smaller communities are looking to invest in the Okanagan. But not just ANYWHERE in the Okanagan…
Buyers from smaller communities, ie NOT cities such as Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton, began really looking at purchasing in the smaller Okanagan communities late last year, and the trend is building as the 2018 spring market starts to get its footing.
