Blossoms are better in a small town, beaches are best in a small town, and biking is great along the quiet country roads of a

small town full of orchards & vineyards.

Welcome to Summerland, located between Kelowna & Penticton and across the lake from Naramata.

Summerland is cherished for its natural beauty and small town atmosphere. Farmers markets, car shows, parades, festivals and sporting events are the perfect opportunities to stroll downtown and catch up with friends, new and old. The Okanagan Valley's "Finest Main Street" is the place to be for quaint shops & welcoming restaurants.

Summerland is defined by an absence of traffic & crowds. With a strong sense of community and friendly welcoming locals, it is a place where agriculture is the primary industry, and tourism a close cousin.

Summerland's meandering country roads call out for long walks, jogging or bike rides bounded by orchards, vineyards, farms and roadside stands.

Its time… to own your place in the Okanagan!

Some of the Lake's best beaches are here in Summerland.

They are family friendly and not crowded.

Other recreation amenities include a waterfront tennis club, a hockey arena & curling club, 2 golf courses, aquatic center, walking paths and biking trails.

The biking and hiking trail upgrades planned or underway are impressive! From the Fir Brigade Trail, to the lakeside Bike trail already complete, to the family bike trail to Garnet Lake Recreation Area, and the Trans Canada Trail,

Summerland is a hub of all season recreation options.

Hunters Hill News: From Our Blog Page

Media Article about Hunters Hill

Penticton Western News gave me a call to discuss Hunters Hill last week.

Unfortunately for me, I was hiking a steep section of trail along Bitterroot Bluff and was more than a little out of breath as I tried to do that interview!

But I did sit down and answer the reporters questions. He seemed most interested in the land being preserved, which in hindsight is ironic since I remember sitting on a boulder within the preservation area as I (breathlessly) answered his questions!

Vibrant, Growth & Lifestyle

Good news in the Okanagan as “Once again, the quarterly release of economic indicators for the Central Okanagan depict a vibrant region of innovation, growth and enviable lifestyle”.

Summerland is located between Penticton & Kelowna, close enough to both for all the big box shopping you may desire. Home Depot is nearby, and is looking to hire almost 100 people in Kelowna, Vernon and West Kelowna this spring.

Summerland is a small agricultural town with all the amenities of a thriving community, but close to both the Okanagan’s major airports, and with nearby access to the two routes to the Lower Mainland.
